Clinical trial: Aurora cannabis oil for Parkinson’s

Aurora’s CanniMed cannabis-oil products will be used for a clinical trial funded by the Parkinson Society Canada.

The study will determine the safety and tolerability of three different formulations of cannabis oil for pain suffered by Parkinsons’ patients.

The frequency and severity of pain, sleep problems, muscle contractions and other motor symptoms will be studied.

The phase two clinical trial is expected to start in late 2018/early 2019.

The research is being led by Dr. Susan Fox,  University Health Network, Toronto.
